Two people face several drug charges after west El Paso arrest

Two people, including a wanted man, were arrested last week on drug charges.

Members of the El Paso Police Department’s Westside Tactical Unit and the U.S. Marshal’s Lone Star Fugitive Task Force spotted Alexis Flores, 20, in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn at 7530 Remcon Circle.

Flores tried to run from officers, but he was quickly apprehended, police said.

Vanessa Hernandez, 20, was with Flores, and she was also arrested, police said.

Flores and Hernandez were charged with manufacture delivery of a controlled substance (THC), manufacture delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of marijuana more than 4 ounces and less than 5 pounds.

Flores was also charged with capias theft between $1,500 to $20,000, capias fraud use identifying information, and evading arrest or detention with conviction.

The two were booked into the county jail.
