4 suspects in custody after armed standoff Christmas Eve morning in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

    Four suspects are now in custody after barricading themselves inside a stolen vehicle Monday morning in Mt. Juliet, Tenn.

    Police found the four suspects, males from ages 15 to 17, armed and barricaded inside a vehicle stolen from Metro on Dec. 23. The teens were armed with a handgun, AR-15 style rifle and were not complying to commands to exit the car.

    After an hour and a half standoff, the suspects surrendered and were detained. Police said the seized guns were stolen out of Nashville on Dec. 20.

    Residents in the Boxcroft Circle area were asked to lock their doors and stay away from front windows while the situation unfolded.

    Thankfully, there were no injuries reported and the suspects were taken into custody. According to police, all suspects were male and between the ages of 15 to 18 years old.

    Local police have deemed the area safe.

    Earlier in the morning, the four armed suspects refused to get out of a stolen car. It prompted a shelter-in-place at a Mt. Juliet neighborhood.

    Mt. Juliet Police said the four armed suspects are in the area in a stolen car out of Metro Nashville. The suspects would not comply with commands and refused to get out of the car.

    FOX 17, WZTV News has a crew on the scene but is being kept back due to safety.

    FOX 17 News reached out to Mt. Juliet Police but at this time, no further information is being given. Other agencies in the area are not part of the investigation and did not have further information.
