Rhinos hockey players take ballet classes

The El Paso Rhinos hockey team tries ballet.

When you're the most successful team in El Paso, you'll try anything to stay on top. The El Paso Rhinos hockey team is a sparkling 34-2 on the year, but they say there's always room for improvement. "We decided to try ballet to help with our strength and flexibility, " says forward Chaseton Sare.

The team held their first ballet workout with the British Ballet Academy on El Paso's eastside. They admit they have a new respect for those who do ballet.

"It's a lot harder than it looks," says Sare. "I'm having a hard time getting my legs down at the same time as my hips, but I'll get used to it."

The Rhinos play their first home series of 2018 when they host Dallas Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the El Paso County Coliseum Events Center.
