Just a Number: Float Fit makes a splash

It is the latest workout craze that is making a splash in El Paso.

This week in Just a Number, I show you how this new workout program called Float Fit combines both fun and fitness.

Kayla Suarez with the YWCA says it’s a great workout.

“You're going to love it. It’s low impact”, says Suarez.

Float Fit is making waves because not only is it low impact, but it also incorporates burpees, climbers, planks, push-ups and some yoga. And, you are doing it all on water, while you're balancing on a board called an aqua base.

Suarez says, “it's a workout just to stay on the board.”

I stepped up to a Float Fit class this week at the YWCA El Paso. It is one of the few places in the country offering the Float Fit class.

The program has been popular in the UK for a while, but it’s relatively new to the El Paso area.

El Paso is also one of the few cities in the country to offer the exercise class.

“We're always looking for new ways to keep people interested, to get new classes, to try something new”, says Suarez.
